is the former Dower House of the Richard Arkwright family and stands within seven acres of
secluded grounds at Cromford in Derbyshire. The atmosphere is informal and relaxed. The
food is delicious and caters for vegetarian and special diets. The house is licensed, and
a small bar is available for guests. Guests have a choice of single or Twin-bedded rooms, all of which are well equipped and have en-suite and tea making facilities. |
Alison House is situated in the midst of the county of Derbyshire, three miles south of Matlock. There is easy access to Birmingham, Coventry, Leeds, Leicester, Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield. Inter-City train services connect via Derby and Nottingham making London just over two and a half hours away.
There is no single
room supplement, and all guests will have a room of their own. There is a studio and three
spacious lounges, offering a peaceful environment.
Non-painting partners are welcome and will find Cromford a marvellous location for a
summer holiday.
