Watercolour course with Peter Saw at Alison House
17th to 21st July 2006
Course Fees: £330 Half Board,  £375 Full Board for a 4 day course (4 nights)

PETER SAW is originally from Yorkshire, and is a Chartered Engineer. He worked for over 30 years as an electrical engineer in the coal mining industry before becoming a full time artist and teacher.
Peter paints landscapes, seascapes, buildings, flowers and anything else which offers a challenge. He paints mostly in watercolour but also works in pastel and oil. He loves exploiting all the available effects both from the chemistry of paint, and the surface of the paper. He is a firm believer in letting the paint and the paper do as much work as possible.
For  4 years Peter taught watercolour and other media at Ivanhoe Community College, Ashby. He runs  regular workshops at local Art Clubs and Societies. In his teaching he tries to give his students the start that he would have liked to have had but mainly failed to find - ‘Someone actually showing you how to paint’.
He has exhibited work in Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire and in galleries on the Internet. He has demonstrated watercolour at the Artists & Illustrators Exhibition, National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. Peter has paintings in collections in the UK, Ireland, Canada and USA. Peter is Author of the Interactive Watercolour CD ROM.
